Home Cycle

Home Cycle does not require an account. The maintenance items you log, the intervals you set, and your reminder settings are stored locally on your device. Stargyle Apps cannot read them, and we do not sell, rent, or share the personal information you enter in the app. Home Cycle embeds no third-party analytics SDKs and no advertising SDKs inside the app itself. It does include affiliate links to Amazon — see the Affiliate links section below.

This includes maintenance task names (for example "smoke detector batteries" or "furnace filter"), optional notes, completion dates, replacement intervals, optional room or property labels, and optional photos you attach to a task.

This content is written to the app's private storage area on your device. If you have enabled Apple iCloud backup or iCloud sync at the operating-system level, your device may back up that data to your own iCloud account under Apple's terms. Stargyle Apps has no access to your iCloud account or its contents.

If you allow notifications, Home Cycle schedules local reminders on your device when a maintenance interval is due. These reminders are generated on the device itself and are not sent through our servers, so the task titles they display are never transmitted to us.

If you attach a photo to a maintenance record, the app requests access to your camera or photo library at that moment. The image is stored with the record on your device only. We do not upload photos or read your wider photo library.

Home Cycle embeds no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs inside the app. If you have opted in to share crash and usage data with developers in your device settings, Apple or Google may provide us with aggregated, anonymized crash reports and App Store or Google Play usage statistics. These reports do not identify you and do not contain the contents of your maintenance records. Tapping an Amazon affiliate link opens Amazon's website or app, where Amazon's own analytics and tracking apply under Amazon's privacy policy.

Any paid features are processed by Apple's App Store. Apple handles payment details; we never receive your payment card information. We receive only the anonymized transaction and subscription status data Apple provides to developers.

Some links in Home Cycle, such as suggested replacement parts or product recommendations, are Amazon affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, Stargyle Apps earns a commission on qualifying purchases made through those links, at no additional cost to you. These links are provided for your convenience and do not change the price you pay.

Tapping an affiliate link opens Amazon's website or app, at which point you leave Home Cycle and are subject to Amazon's terms and privacy policy. Amazon may set cookies and use its own analytics on its site. Home Cycle does not transmit your maintenance records, notes, or any other data you have entered in the app to Amazon or to Stargyle Apps. The affiliate link itself contains a standard referral tag that tells Amazon the visit came from Home Cycle; it does not contain your personal information.

This affiliate relationship is disclosed here and within the app wherever affiliate links appear, in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's endorsement guides and the Amazon Associates Operating Agreement.

Because your data lives on your device, you control retention. You can delete individual records inside the app, clear all data from the app's settings screen, or delete the app entirely — which removes its local data from your device. If you use iCloud backup, remove the relevant backup through your Apple account settings.

Home Cycle is intended for adults managing a household and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold about you. In practice we hold no personal data about Home Cycle users, since the app stores everything locally and requires no account. If you contact us with a request, we will confirm what — if anything — exists and act within 30 days.

If a future version of Home Cycle adds features that change how data is handled — for example optional cloud sync or shared households — we will update this page and note the new effective date before that version ships.
