Privacy Policy
Mindful Mess
Mindful Mess offers grounding affirmations, simple journaling, and micro-resets for parents. Because journaling is personal, this policy is specific about what stays private.

Summary
Mindful Mess does not require an account. Your journal entries, mood or check-in selections, saved affirmations, and reset history are stored locally on your device. Nobody at Stargyle Apps can read your entries. We never sell or share personal information, and your writing is never used to train any model.
Journal entries and reflections
Anything you write — journal entries, notes attached to a reset, gratitude lists, or favorited affirmations — is saved to the app's private storage on your device. It is not transmitted to our servers, and there is no server-side copy for us to access, subpoena, or lose.
If you enable Apple iCloud backup or sync at the operating-system level, your device may include this data in your own iCloud backup under Apple's terms. Stargyle Apps has no access to your iCloud account.
Optional device lock
If you turn on the privacy lock, Mindful Mess asks the operating system to verify you with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. The system returns only a success or failure result; the app never receives or stores your biometric data.
Affirmation content
Affirmation and micro-reset content ships with the app or is downloaded as a content pack. Requesting a content pack sends only a standard network request — the app does not send your journal entries, mood history, or personal identifiers in order to receive content.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app schedules gentle local reminders and affirmation prompts on your device. These are generated on-device, so their content does not pass through our servers.
Diagnostics and analytics
Mindful Mess contains no advertising SDKs and no third-party behavioral tracking. If you have opted in to share crash and usage data with developers in your device settings, Apple may give us aggregated, anonymized crash reports and App Store statistics. These never include journal text.
Purchases
Any paid features or subscriptions are processed by Apple's App Store. Apple handles all payment details; we receive only anonymized transaction and subscription status information.
Not medical or mental health care
Mindful Mess is a self-reflection tool, not therapy, diagnosis, or treatment. It is not designed to collect health information and should not be used in a crisis. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line in your country.
Data retention and deletion
You control retention. Delete individual entries in the app, clear all data from the settings screen, or delete the app to remove its local data from your device. If you use iCloud backup, remove the backup through your Apple account settings.
Children
Mindful Mess is intended for parents and caregivers aged 13 and older and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
You may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold. In practice we hold none for Mindful Mess users, because the app requires no account and keeps your content on your device. If you contact us with a request, we will confirm what — if anything — exists and act within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If a future version adds features that change data handling — for example optional cloud sync or shared access with a partner — we will update this page and note the new effective date before that version ships.
